Updates

I warn you guys, the next 4 months will be nothing but wedding junk, so just skip ahead if you don't want to get sick of it :P

Finally badgered my mom into coming down to Utah before leaving for Finland. If she came down after she got back, it would be too late for her to be involved in anything. We are going to go look for a dress, and I can't say what kind or what it will look like because my fiance knows all my passwords and he must remain clueless.

I believe I've decided on colors. It will be a black and white wedding, with splashes of fall colors. Very appropriate for September, I might add. The cake will have fall leaves on it, and possibly some sunflowers as well... but I do have somewhat of a color scheme going on!

My matron of honor is calling a few reception areas tomorrow to get some pricing. My mom said it would be a great idea to do a reception at the church... and I said that I will NOT have basketball hoops hanging in my reception. :P

However, I am thinking of giving her full reign on the open house in WA when we get back from our honeymoon.

We spent a few hours last night going through my furniture and things and deciding what would be good to keep, and what would be good to gift away or toss. The reality of it still hasn't hit me, and it makes no sense in my head.

Goals for this week:
- Get an appointment with the Bishop
- Get fitted for a new bra and corselet
- Build a tentative invitation and announcement list
- Get a concrete date for the wedding!

We have an idea of September 14th. Jake wanted Wednesday the 13th, but if we had it there, once in a blue moon our anniversary would fall on a Friday, and that just wouldn't be cool. :P
