Sorry this post is a bit late.
Been feelin' like absolute crap that was crapped out by crap, so I just spent some time absorbed in Puzzle Quest and watching these guys swim about.

Almost don't need a flash to get pictures of them now. They're running around so crazy, constantly looking for food and whatelse, I think of them like a spanish tv station. I have no idea what the hell's going on, but it's always interesting.

The string of expletives that nearly left my mouth when I saw how much they had grown overnight. I think the two biggest have nearly doubled!

We also have a few babies still in phase 2 form, they should be taking adult form tomorrow or day after.
I think we have water fleas too, but that's ok. The triops will eat them.
EDIT: The two I thought that were in phase 2 form are not Triops, they're fairy shrimp, in the same gene-pool as seamonkeys. There are water fleas in there as well. They're only called water fleas because of their suddend movements up as they swim around. All can be found in the same habitat and can be food for triops. I keep learning so much!!!!! ^_^

Jan. 15th, 2009 12:47 pmI bought my husband a Smithsonian triops set for Christmas. These guys are so cute and tiny!
Since they double in size for the first two weeks, I plan to document each day with a picture.
Here's the first:

Yeah, I know. It's a whole lotta nothin'.
They're about 1-2 mm in length right now, they're hard to keep track of with my eyes, but their little legs are going crazy all about. So adorable! ^_^
More information on triops can be found here.
