Shocking Psychic-ness of DOOM!

Well... I've been thinking about my Dad a whole heck of a lot lately... And been talking about him with Jake, Amanda, and here on my LJ, and I found out why he's been on my mind so much.

I just found out that his best friend Dan McMonagle, passed away a few days ago from a tumor behind his stomach. He was like an uncle to me. I started to tear up when my mom called to tell me, but then she told me that Dan made his wife PROMISE that my Dad's kites went back "to their rightful owner". I was floored.

I had given up a long time ago about getting any of my father's belongings back. It felt dirty to fight over a dead man's things... and here we are, nearly 6 years later... and I'm getting my father's kites... I just.... *sniffs and wipes a tear* yeah.

I'm thinking about trying to get Dan's temple work done the same time as we do it for my Dad. I just gotta ask Jake. I just wish I could be at the funeral and potluck to celebrate his life.
